TIU Get Up and Glow Challenge
This January, my goal is to get back into the Tone It Up (TIU) Challenges. I’ve been a proud TIU member for a while but in the past couple of years. Sadly, I’ve only been on the app a couple of times. So, to check off my New Year's resolution. I want to be active on the TIU App again, and it’s perfect timing since they’re kicking off their January Challenge, Get Up and Glow!
January Challenge - Get Up and Glow
The Get Up and Glow Challenge is a 5-week program that kicks off on January 6th, 2025. The program will include new Tone It Up workouts, energizing new recipes, and grounding meditations to help ladies feel strong, confident, and unstoppable in 2025. The goal is to build energy and resilience to crush your goals for the new year.
The workouts range from strength training to HIIT, yoga, and core workouts. The plan is to level up throughout the five weeks to help ladies “shine brighter!”
By the week:
Week 1: The plan is to start strong by building that foundation so you can crush the rest of the program!
Week 2: They ramp up this week's intensity – “You’ve got this, girl!”
Week 3: They turn up the heat with no rest days—“Let’s see what you’re made of!”
Week 4: Double the workouts and results! – “Get ready to level up!”
Week 5: It’s the final push – “Triple the workouts, triple the glow!”
Just Joss’n Get Up and Glow Progress
I posted weekly progress on social media and have grown to enjoy this program. While I didn’t use the TIU recipes, I did try new recipes from my favorite health magazines each week. Since cooking wasn’t really my thing, I decided to start small and gradually build my skills. Now, I’m happy to say that making meals at home has become a fun part of my routine!

Week 1
I have to say, week 1 went pretty well! I really enjoyed the trainers—they made the workouts super fun! The biggest challenge for me was finding the motivation to cook. I tend to grab whatever is convenient to eat, so figuring out how to fit cooking into my schedule was a bit tricky. It took a lot of planning! First, I had to think about what recipes I wanted to try, then I made a grocery list, and finally, I had to set aside time to cook. Plus, cooking for one can be tough! Fortunately, I ended up sharing all my meals with my cousin since I had so much food. My cousin was my guinea pig, testing out all my concoctions.
@justjossn: It’s been a little while, but I’m excited to be back with the #TIUcommunity! I’ve caught up and just finished week 1 of #GetUpAndGlow. Here’s to week 2 🌟
Week 2
This week has been a breeze for my fitness journey! I really enjoyed the workouts and made sure to complete all of my Tone It Up (TIU) routines. When it comes to meal planning, I’m optimistic that it will get even better. I’m still figuring out which tasty recipes I want to try, but overall, I’d say things are going great!
@justjossn: #GetUpAndGlow Week 2 is complete! 🌟 All the workouts were great, but I particularly enjoyed the meditations this week. Here’s to week 3! 💙

Week 3
Wow, what a week it has been! It definitely had its challenges. Work was bustling, and with a weekend getaway on the horizon, I found it tricky to balance everything. I’m really trying to eat healthier, even when I’m out and about, and it’s been a bit of a test! But there’s a silver lining—after two weeks of focusing on better eating habits and drinking more water, I’m actually noticing some improvements in my health issues. Feeling pretty optimistic!
@justjossn: #GetUpAndGlow Week 3 - completed! ✅ I wasn’t sure I’d be able to finish it this week since I had some light travel, but I did it! 😊 Here’s to Week 4 💙

Week 4
This week was super busy, but I’m really starting to get the hang of cooking! I’m actually excited to whip up some new meals, and I’ve been having fun looking for different veggies to try out.
@justjossn: I had to do a bit of catching up, but I’m excited to share that I’ve completed Week 4 of #GetUpAndGlow! ✨ My goal for January was to try out a new recipe each week, and I’m really enjoying it! Here’s to keeping up those new habits!

Week 5
Wow, life has really thrown some unexpected challenges my way lately! Work has been pretty wild, and to top it off, my air conditioner decided to give up on me—yikes! As a fellow Texan, I can’t imagine surviving without that AC! But despite all that, I’m feeling proud of myself for sticking to my workouts and trying out new recipes. I’ve actually been loving this program and can’t wait to keep up with my at-home workouts on the Tone It Up app!
@justjossn: It’s been a while since I finished a #TIUChallenge, but I’m excited to say #GetUpAndGlow it’s done! ✨ Now, I’m wondering about what program I should tackle next… any suggestions?

Overall
I’ve been feeling pretty great lately! I’ve noticed a boost in my confidence and a newfound appreciation for my body. You might have noticed that most of my photos are close-ups—just a little joke I have about my body issues, but hey, I’m learning to embrace it all!
After completing a fantastic five-week program, I’m really excited about loving my body again. I’m super proud of what I’ve achieved and can’t wait to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen! Speaking of which, here are the meals I cooked up in January: Zucchini Spinach Pasta, caldo de pollo, Roasted Cabbage, and Loaded Cabbage Steak!
I look forward to sharing more delicious recipes with you next month, so stay tuned!
