Travel Tips

Since I do a lot traveling in general, I figure I would share some of my tips…

My general trips include:

  • Do your homework!

    • Research the area and get familiar with the location.

    • Make a list of places you want to visit and outline where you’re going.

    • If traveling internationally, learn the basics of their language.

  • Luggage wise…

    • PACK OLD CLOTHES! While traveling, throw-away your old clothes to make room for souvenirs and whatever else you want to buy.

  • Don’t look like a tourist!

    • Know the style of the area you’re visiting. The point is to blend in and not stand out.

  • Money wise…

    • Traveling Internationally - know the Currency!

    • Your bank will have a better/cheaper exchange rate than the airport.

    • Get a credit card just for traveling. This will help with currency exchange charges if made abroad.

    • Also, inform your bank when you’re going, so your card won’t get frozen when traveling.

  • Know the culture.

    • Be aware of items that may not be accessible in the place of vacation.

    • Pack your medications, creams, and other necessities.

    • Be prepared! Pack a first-aid kit - just in case.

  • If possible, bring a friend.

    • It’s so much more fun to travel with a friend than by yourself. Plus, it’s safer in numbers.
